Lansing neighborhood walks step off tonight

Lansing Mayor Andy Schor and the Department of Neighborhoods and Citizen Engagement are inviting the public to attend the “Walking Wednesday” event in the Baker Neighborhood later today.

People will have the chance to tour the neighborhood and make use of vacant spaces.

“These weekly events provide residents with a great opportunity to get to know Lansing and their
neighbors,” said Lansing Mayor Andy Schor. “Walking Wednesdays are another way for residents to
get involved in their community and local government.”

There will be bounce houses, food, live entertainment, games and a lot more.

It all begins tonight at 6 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

It is free and open to everyone.

April 10 – Baker Neighborhood – Bethlehem Lutheran – 549 E Mt Hope Avenue
April 17 – Red Cedar Neighborhood- Kircher Municipal Park – 301 Clippert Street
April 24 – Eckert Power Plant – 601 Island Avenue
May 1 – Downtown Lansing – Capital Area District Library – 401 S Capitol Avenue
May 8 – SW Lansing – Colonial Townhouses Co-Op, Inc. – 3818 Pleasant Grove Road
May 15 – Greencroft Park Neighborhood – 2700 S Washington Avenue
May 22 – Life O’Riley – 6726 S Washington Avenue
May 29 – Fulton Park Trails – 3914 Seaway Drive
June 5 – Scott Woods – Scott Woods Park- 2605 Clifton Avenue
