UPDATE: 56-year-old woman is the suspect in a South Lansing shooting that injured a 34-year-old woman

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS): UPDATE 3:50 p.m. – A 34-year-old woman from Lansing is recovering after being shot in the leg on Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened just after noon, in the 4600 block of Pleasant Grove Road.

Lansing police say the suspect is a 56-year-old woman from Lansing. That suspect is not in custody at this time. A sergeant tells 6 News the shooting was not random, and that the victim appeared to be the intended target.

ORIGINAL POST: Three Lansing Police Department vehicles are on the scene of a shooting near the intersection of Pleasant Grove Road and Reo Road.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and at this time the investigation is ongoing.
