One man injured in early morning shooting in East Lansing

One man is in a local hospital after being shot in an East Lansing apartment early this morning.

East Lansing Police tell 6 News that it happened just after 2:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of Stonehedge.

Police say a group of 4 or 5 men forced their way into the apartment and the 21-year-old Delhi Township man.

He is expected to survive.

Police say the men were dressed in dark hoodies and some may have been wearing ski masks.

Investigators believe this is was not a random shooting and there was a connection between the person who was shot and the suspects.
