Police release photo of shoes in homicide investigation

UPDATE: The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office has released a photo of the homicide victim’s shoe. It is a female, size 10. Officials are hoping someone will recognize the style of shoes.

Deputies say that they victim was also wearing a black, “Faded Glory” hooded coat with fur lining inside, size XL. She was also wearing a dark-colored, long sleeve “Vanity” brand shirt.

The body found in an Eaton County woods Wednesday is a homicide victim. According to the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office investigators have uncovered evidence that indicates there was a crime.

Investigators are attempting to identify what appears to be a female body found in the woods in Eaton Rapids Township Wednesday night.

According to a release from the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office, the body was discovered just after 6:30 p.m. by a person walking in the woods near Wilbur Highway and Spruce Road in Eaton Rapids Township.

Investigators say the body was very decomposed and a cause of death has not been determined.
