UPDATE (WLNS) – Michigan State Police officials have released additional information on the crash.
At 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday on I-96 at Wacousta Rd, a semi-trick driver was unable to stop for a traffic backup.
The semi then crashed into another car, causing a chain reaction involving two other cars.
One driver is in the hospital with critical injuries. Two other people have minor injuries. The road was closed for approximately three hours.
CLINTON COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) – If you’re traveling westbound on I-96 right now, you may want to take an alternate route.
A crash on WB I-96, just after the Grand River Ave exit (Exit 90) has closed a portion of the highway.
The crash affected all lanes. It was first reported around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
