Prayer service in local synagogue to honor shooting victims

Funerals are scheduled today for three of the people gunned down in a Pittsburgh synagogue last weekend.

Tonight those lost lives will be honored at a prayer vigil in East Lansing at the Congregation Shaarey Zedek synagogue.

It will be a Jewish service with traditional Jewish prayers but people of all faiths are welcome.

The service will be held from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, which is located on Coolidge Road south of Lake Lansing Road in East Lansing.
