LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Strong storms with high winds and lightning moved through mid-Michigan Thursday night. The storm has left some damage and power outages in its wake.

In Wheatfield Township the Northeast Ingham Emergency Service Authority (NIESA) confirmed the roof of the Haven of Rest adult foster care home partially collapsed leaving several people trapped. This happened shortly after 8 p.m.

NIESA said more than a dozen residents were located in a room in the center of the home. Crews said one person had a minor injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
