Michigan State University basketball is rich with traditions and the fans support the winning program.
Sunday’s Spartan win over Duke, earning a trip to the Final Four in Minneapolis, was taken to extremes by some fans celebrating MSU’s big win.
The video above shows a large crowd of people gathered near the intersection of E. Grand River Ave. and Gunson St.
Two people were arrested when a crowd estimated by East Lansing Police to be between 600-800 people gathered in the 200 block of Cedar when the game ended.
A piece of furniture was set on fire and bottles were thrown in the middle of the road.
Police officers broke up the crowd and two 20-year-old men, one from Marshall and one from Ada, were arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
That same area has been the site of previous post-game bonfires and disturbances in past years.
