September is suicide prevention month.
After a suicide it is not uncommon for people to ask the question “what could I have done to prevent the suicide?”
Jodi Spicer of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services stopped by 6 News This Morning today to talk with Bonney Bowman about what the state is doing to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
She explained the steps the state is taking by working with local agencies to head off suicides.
She also talked about the warning signs of a possible suicide and where to turn for help.
