October is Bullying Prevention Month.
More people are talking about the problem but what can be done to stop it?
Schools and parents can work together to stop bullies.
Dr. Karlin Tichenor, Lansing Public School’s associate superintendent for school culture, stopped by 6 News This Morning to talk with Bonney Bowman about bullying in schools.
Dr. Tichenor explained how staff training is valuable in identifying and helping students who may be dealing with bullying issues.
Teachers are watching for the signs of students in distress and they are important in getting help to those students.
