About 3,000 people in Michigan are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant and thousands of others need tissue to relieve their pain, heal their wounds and help them see again.
That’s according to ‘Gift of Life Michigan,’ the non-profit program for the State of Michigan, that handles everything to do with donating and receiving organs, and signing up to be a registered organ donor.
6 News Anchor Chivon Kloepfer recently sat down with a representative of ‘Gift of Life Michigan’ to learn more about the organ donation process and has 6 things you need to know.
