A woman who plead guilty in connection with the abuse death of a 14-month-old boy has been sentenced to prison.
Amber Reeves, 25, has been sentenced to 10-15 years in prison for Manslaughter and Child Abuse 2nd Degree.
Reeves plead guilty to those charges in February.
Reeves claimed the boy also was being abused by his father, but police and prosecutors say there’s no evidence indicating anyone hurt Logan except Reeves.
Susan Ziegler, Logan’s grandmother, says that for Reeves “to say she takes full responsibility and in the same breath accuses my son of abuse is despicable. She has shown no remorse.”
In October 2018 the Jackson City Police were called to a local hospital to investigate a dead baby boy. Their investigation revealed that the child had been hit by Reeves, who then did not report the injury. Logan Tracy, the baby boy, died as a result.
Reeves was dating the baby’s father at the time.
