A worldwide event has one local woman busier than most, as millions of people will be live blogging about the upcoming royal wedding through websites she helps oversee.
Susan Kelley, creator of the “What Kate Wore” fashion blog, is headquartered in mid-Michigan. She will partner up with another woman, Susan Courter, who leads the “What Meghan Wore” fashion blog. Both have gathered a creative team and starting early Saturday morning will be live blogging about everything going on about the royal wedding– from the family, the crowds, and of course — fashion.
Kelley says people around the world are tremendously interested, especially Americans with the royal wedding and Meghan Markle – partly because she is an American marrying a prince. The big draw for bloggers is what will everyone wear.
Kelley says Kensington Palace has done a remarkable job at keeping what Markle and the rest of the wedding party will be wearing from the public, but she did provide an early prediction of what to expect.
“We think it’ll be elegant. It’ll be understated because they are in St. George’s chapel in Windsor Castle so there is the dynamic that you want to be appropriate, you don’t want to be showing too much. Shoulders will probably be covered and there will probably be a little bit of lace. She is probably going to look beautiful.”
Kelley believes Meghan Markle will wear two dresses, one for the wedding and reception and then another one for the evening reception.
The live blogging can be found on three sites: www.WhatKateWore.com , www.WhatMeghanWore.net, and www.WhatKatesKidswore.com
