LANSING, Mich (WLNS) — For months, health officials around Michigan and the country have been encouraging people ages 6 months and up to get a flu shot this year.
The CDC says getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever during 2020-2021 to protect yourself and the people around you from flu, and to help reduce the strain on healthcare systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
6 News anchor Chivon Kloepfer spoke with Dr. Mackenzie Dickinson live from the ‘6 News Digital Studio’ today. Dr. Dickinson is a resident physician at McLaren Greater Lansing. They talked about the flu vaccine, the symptoms of the flu, and why some people might feel sick after getting the shot.
