The State Medical Marijuana Licensing Board today adopted a resolution that will ensure patients have access to their precribed medical marijuana while the state works on getting more businesses licensed.
The boardmembers approved an extension that would allow temporarily operating medical marijuana facilities to reopen.
Today’s move also allows licensed facilities to purchase medical marijuana from caregivers through March 31.
“We know that we have a lot of patients out there looking for product, and it’s our belief and hope that doing this resolution, that it will move more product availability for them,” explained Rick Johnson, chair of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Board.
This is just a temporary solution until officials come up with permanent plan.
