Michigan Center Schools recounting after close proposal passes 569-564

JACKSON COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – In Jackson County it’s not a future vote that is raising concerns, but rather a vote last week that has pushed county officials to hold a recount.

Our media partners at MLive say the votes for a $10 million bond proposal for Michigan Center Schools will be re-tallied after it initially passed by five votes – 569 to 564.

The proposal stretches over the next 30-years and will help fund facility and safety improvement projects.

The recount will be conducted next week.
