The Michigan Office of the Great Lakes has a special grant funding opportunity.
The OGL’s Coastal Management Program is looking for small-scale and site-specific community planning projects.
The projects should focus on protecting coastal natural resources and connecting people to the Great Lakes.
The funding opportunity is part of the Coastal Program’s Coastal Healthy Habitat, Waters, and Communities Initiative.
The initiative was established to support nature-based solutions, enhance coastal public access and protect water quality.
Through a partnership with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, $225,000 in funding will be made available. The deadline for applications is June 17th.
Program coordinators can provide technical assistance to grantees and successful planning projects will be considered for funding.
