Jackson (WLNS) – The Jackson police are investigating after a body was found in the Grand River Wednesday morning.
According to Elmer Hitt, director of Jackson Police and Fire Services, the body was found near W. Monroe Street around 10:45 a.m..
Police believe the body had been in the water for more than one month.
Investigators are looking at missing person reports from the past months in an effort to make an identification.
An autopsy is scheduled.
