Starting today if you’re driving on Michigan roads you might see an increased police presence.

The extra officers are part of a campaign to reduce the number of impaired drivers on Michigan roads.

Between 2011 and 2016,  October saw more fatal crashes involving alcohol than any other month.

The crackdown will run through November 4th and will involve officers from 100 Michigan police departments.

Officers say they just want residents to enjoy fall activities safely.
