Local watch parties for tonight’s presidential debate

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – It’s the moment many Americans have been waiting for and now it’s just hours away.

Monday night at 9:00 p.m. presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will square-off for their first debate.

You can watch CBS News coverage of the debate on WLNS-TV 6 beginning at 9:00 p.m.

The two are scheduled to go toe-to-toe and give their views on topics such as the direction of the country, achieving prosperity and keeping us safe.

The candidates will face-off on a total of six segments and there are a number of places you can go to watch them discuss those issues.

Republican supporters can meet in Lansing at the party headquarters on Seymour Avenue and pre-registration is not required to attend.

Local democrats are also holding a watch party in East Lansing at Dublin Square but you must register before you get to the door.
