Michigan State Police investigating death of 67-year-old Hillsdale man

Adams Township, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State Police from the Jackson Post are investigating the death of a 67-year-old from North Adams, Michigan after he collapsed Monday morning.

On Monday at 6:30 a.m., troopers from the Jackson post were dispatched to the report of an unresponsive male on the sidewalk near the Rainbow Mist Car wash in North Adams.

Upon arrival, troopers found a 67-year-old from North Adams had been walking on the sidewalk
after visiting a local convenience store when he collapsed.

A cause of death has yet to be determined but foul play is not suspected.

The investigation is being conducted by the Hillsdale/Lenawee County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Michigan State Police Jackson Post.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the North Adams Fire Department, Somerset Fire/EMS and the Hillsdale/Lenawee County Medical Examiner’s office.
