EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State University is throwing the grand opening for its new Bio Engineering Facility on October 27.
The ceremony is set for 4:00 p.m. at the facility.
The 130,000-square foot Bio Engineering Facility will house the newly created Institute for Quantitative Health Sciences and Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The facility will play a crucial role in planned expansion of biomedical engineering research at the university. It will bring together a number of researchers from various disciplines and colleges, including the College of Engineering, the College of Human Medicine, and the College of Natural Science.
The ceremony will include a ribbon cutting and tours. MSU dignitaries in attendance will include MSU Board of Trustees Chairman Joel Ferguson, President Lou Anna K. Simon, Provost June Pierce Youatt, and a number of MSU scientists.
