NWS – Tornado confirmed last night near Corunna

The National Weather Service has confired that a tornado did hit the Corunna area last night.

Weather experts surveyed the damage this morning and agreed that a EF0 level tornado touched down.

An EF0 tornado, according to the NWS,  has winds in the 65-85 miles per hour range.

Power is still out in an area along I-69 north of Durand.

According to the Consumers Energy outage map there are about 2,000 customers without power as of 11:00 a.m.

6 News has crews in the area and will update this story online and on 6 News.
