Police say multiple people shot in Jackson

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS)– Police in Jackson are investigating a shooting near the intersection of Fourth and W. Franklin Street.

City of Jackson police officer Jason Ganzhorn tells 6 News that multiple people were shot.

According to our media partners at Mlive, it happened shortly before noon.

The news outlet reports shell casings and a damaged vehicle were found on the scene. It is unknown at this time how many people were injured in the incident, but an ambulance was seen transporting at least one person from the scene.

Neighbors tell 6 News that this area can be dangerous at night, but is typically safe during the day.
