UPDATE (6:15 P.M.) – The Michigan State Police say a man is in custody in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Ronald Owens on Friday.
At this time, authorities are not releasing the name of that person.
On Saturday, State Police told 6 News 30-year-old Raheim Armstrong was a person of interest in the shooting and that Armstrong lives in the Jackson area and was considered armed and dangerous.
The shooting happened just after 10:15 p.m. Friday night in the 200 block of W. South Street in Summit Township.
When police arrived on scene, they found Ronald Owens with a single gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

UPDATE (4:45 P.M.) – The Michigan State Police Jackson Post has identified Saturday’s homicide victim as 32-year-old Ronald Demetrius Owens from Jackson.
Authorities say they received a call on Friday just after 10:15 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim with a single gunshot wound.
Owens was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The MSP Jackson Post is asking the public for help locating Raheim Rahhman Armstrong; a person of interest in the investigation.
Armstrong is a 30-year-old black male living in the Jackson area.
Officials say Armstrong is possible traveling in a dark colored four door Chrysler Sebring or Chrysler 200 and he should be considered armed and dangerous.

JACKSON COUNTY, MI (WLNS) – Jackson police are working with Michigan State Police troopers to investigate a homicide that occurred in the 200 block of W. South Street in Summit Township.
Jackson Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the area around 11 o’clock Friday night.
Police responded to South Street and located a man with serious injuries.
The man was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Health where he later died from his injuries.
Officials say the investigation is still ongoing and no other information is being released at this time.
