UPDATE: Power outages sweep through mid- Michigan due to storms

UPDATE (Noon) – According to the Consumers Energy outage map there are still 11,700 people without power in the utility’s service area. The largest number of outages are located southwest of Hillsdale along I-69. Consumers estimates power will be restored to many of the customers mid-afternoon.

UPDATE (10:30 a.m.) – The latest information from the Consumers Energy outage information center shows about 13,400 people without power in the wake of heavy storms that moved through the area this morning.  The utility has 368 outages that 113 crews are working to fix. The outages are primarily in the southern part of Hillsdale County and the Jackson area.

Michigan – (WLNS) Consumers Energy’s outage map shows at least 10,000 customers are without power right now.

Most of the outages occur in the southern part of Hillsdale County and in the Jackson area.
