Miss Lansing Aims to be the Fourth Black Woman to Win A National Pageant This Year

For the first time in pageant history, three national crowns were given to Black women, in the same year.

Miss American, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA are all women of color.

Miss Lansing wants to be the fourth. Angela Hill is competing in Miss Michigan Internation on May 19th. If she wins, she will participate in Miss International in November.

Hill was scouted for the pageant because of the work she does in the community. The Lansing Food Bank, One Love Global, and the Ingham County Women’s Commission are just a few.

The work Hill finds most rewarding is mentoring young girls and she is happy to see beauty pageants acknowledging different types of beauty.

Hill needs $1000 to compete in the Miss Michigan International Pageant. To help, donate to her

GoFundMe page.
