MSU general counsel dismissed

EAST LANSING (WLNS)  – University vice president and general counsel Robert Young has been relieved of his duties, according to a university news release 

Michigan State University Acting President Satish Udpa made the announcement Friday afternoon, saying February 1st was Young’s last day.   

“We appreciate that Bob stepped in last year to help the university with the settlement and many legal issues facing MSU,” Udpa said in the release. “It was a time of transition in the general counsel’s office.”

Brian Quinn, deputy general counsel, will be acting general counsel.
