Multiple Michigan State University police employees are under Title IX investigation.
University Spokeswoman Emily Guerrant confirmed to 6 News that the investigation has been going on for more than a month.
She could not say how many investigations involving Michigan State University Police Department employees are ongoing.
The investigation relates to matters that fall under the university’s’ relationship violence and sexual misconduct policy, which falls under the purview of Title IX and MSU’s Office of Institutional Equity.
Guerrant said she doesn’t believe any Michigan State University students are involved and added that there are MSU police department employees who are claimants in the matter.
Guerrant said there is no university-wide policy on what happens when an employee is under investigation, it is decided on a case-by-case basis.
Updated details will be provided as more information becomes available.
