Former Army Green Beret to be sentenced for Russian espionage

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (CBS) – A former Army Green Beret who admitted to divulging military secrets to Russia over a 15-year period is scheduled to be sentenced on espionage charges.

Peter Debbins pleaded guilty to the charges back in November.

He says he started reporting to Russian intelligence in 1996.

According to reports — prosecutors are seeking a 17-year prison sentence.
