NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs not changing the team name

National News

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CBS) – Team officials for the Kansas City Chiefs say they aren’t planning to change the team’s nickname anytime soon.

The team received some pressure following the recent name change for the Cleveland baseball team, that’ll now switch from the Indians to the Guardians.

The Chiefs, however, are retiring their horse mascot named Warpaint, which features a rider dressed in Native American attire.
