LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – There’s a new exhibit open at Lansing’s Potter Park Zoo.
And there are actually two new main attractions.
Willow and Meeko are two moose that were brought to Potter Park from Alaska.
The habitat was created for the two and they seem to be settling into their new home.
“The reason why we wanted an exhibit of this size and with the features because that is something that’s needed by the moose,” said Amy Morris, Director of External Affairs. “We are one of nine in the United States that have Alaskan moose and the reason for that is because they have difficulty in warmer climates.”
Last fall, the zoo also completed a new exhibit for their red pandas.
