EAST LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – We go to Spartan Stadium yesterday for one of the most stirring tributes and celebrations of a life that I have ever witnessed.
Michigan State football players, past and present, arm in arm and all wearing the number 3 of former teammate Mike Sadler at his memorial service.
Michigan State just did it right. Speaking of which: how about the courage of Karen Sadler? Mike’s mother, one week after her son was killed in an automobile accident, having the gumption to speak at Mike’s service. “To listen to the words today I think you just get an understanding how many people you can touch in your life without even knowing it,” said MSU athletic director Mark Hollis. “And Karen was just incredible.”
“I lost the most incredible son in the world 1 week ago today,” said Karen Sadler. “And the world lost a brilliant, brilliant young man with unlimited potential.”
