Pres. Trump protesters, supporters gather in Grand Rapids

News

While preparations are going on inside VanAndel Arena in Grand Rapids for tonight’s appearance by President Donald Trump, outside crowds have been gathering for hours.

People are coming from all over Michigan, and for many of them it’s their first time seeing him in person or going to one of his rallies.

There was a huge line of people waiting to get in and find their seats.

And right across from them there were some protestors, separated by a series of gates.

There has been some tension between the protestors and supporters, a few words back and forth here and there.

But for the most part things have been calm.

A lot of the protestors say they’re not happy with Mr. Trump’s policies and they want to let him know that by demonstrating today.

But, as you can see in the video above, there is also a lot of support for the president and his policies here.
