EAST LANSING, Mich – Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo says he’s disappointed in the Flint water crisis, even as he admits he doesn’t know as much about the issue as he’d like.
He told members of the media today that he has strong ties to the people of Flint and players from that city helped build the Spartans into a national power.
Izzo said the team would not go distribute water because the problem is much larger than that.
The coach said he feels awful about what’s going on in Flint and that, in this day and age, he’s disappointed that this would happen.
