LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Michigan Senator Gary Peters sat down with 6 News to discuss his new Fire Grants and Safety Act.
That bill would reauthorize some major grants and programs, like the SAFER program for FEMA and the Assistance to Firefighters Grant.
Senator Peters said those programs were established during the pandemic but were scheduled to expire.
