Stolen credit cards used to buy $35k worth of Target gift cards


CEDAR PARK, TX (KXAN) – Police in Cedar Park, Texas are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect they are referring to as “the gift card crook.”

“$35,000 worth of gift cards? Good luck remembering the remaining balance on each one dude,” states the Cedar Park Police Facebook.

Credit cards stolen during a vehicle robbery on April 24 were used to purchase gift cards from Target stores across the area. The suspect bought $35,000 worth of gift cards with the stolen credit cards from Cedar Park, Lakeline, and Aboretum Target stores.
