LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The world is moving and advancing and the city of Lansing is taking steps to grow with it.
You no longer have to call downtown or wait in long lines when there’s an issue in your neighborhood.
Whether it’s a pothole that needs to be repaired or a street light that is out, the City of Lansing is now just one click away.
Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero introduced Lansing Connect which includes a more user-friendly website and a mobile app for residents to request city services and get up-to-date information on community events and neighborhood resources.
Mayor Bernero says this new app and website will serve as an aid to make city government more accessible and transparent. “When people generally deal with government they might call in a complaint and you never know until they see the problem fixed.”
Lansing Connect is a part of the Lansing 3.0 initiative which is a vision to make the city function better.
For residents who feel more comfortable making their request by telephone, you can still call City Hall but since the app can be used on mobile devices it helps your concern be more conveniently addressed.
If you would like to download the new app you can get it from the i-Phone App Store and it’s also available for Android users in the Google Play Store.
