December is “Safe Toys and Gifts Month” and it’s timely because so many items are being purchased for the holidays.
Mickie Kreft of Safe Kids Capital Area and Sparrow Hospital stopped in to 6 News This Morning to talk with Bonney Bowman about what people should watch for when shopping for toys for younger kids.
Batteries can be a danger for small children, as are items such as television remotes.
Children love to explore and a television remote can be opened up and batteries can be removed by little fingers.
