Former Michigan State University President, Lou Anna K. Simon is expected to be back in front of a judge for her probable cause hearing at 2:30 this afternoon.

Prosecutors charged Simon last month in connection to the Larry Nassar sexual assault investigation.

She was charged with two felony and two misdemeanor counts of lying to police.

According to the charges, Simon told police she was aware a University sports doctor was the subject of an investigation in 2014, but claimed she did not know it was Larry Nassar.

Police and prosecutors say that’s not true.

They claim Simon knew Nassar was involved in the allegations.

Simon’s lawyers say the charges have no merit.

Simon was released last month on a personal bond.

She faces up to 4 years if convicted.
