Polls will open to registered voters in Michigan at 7AM.

Midterm elections are here and there’s plenty at stake at both the state and local levels.
But before running out to find a “vote here” sign, voters should know you’re polling location is based on where you live.
To find your polling place, you can enter your name, birth date, and zip code on the Michigan Secretary of State’s Website.
Once you hit search, the website will show you where you need to go to vote along with some other helpful information.
That includes a preview of your ballot and a map for easier navigation to your local clerk.
Ingham County Clerk, Barb Byrum says there’s no better time than others to get to the polls but if you have an absentee ballot.. the clock is ticking.
“Make sure to get it to your poll to your clerk before the close of polls otherwise your vote is not going to be tallied,” says Byrum.
If you need a ride to the polls, there are plenty of options today.
Voters can hop on a CATA bus for free but you must show a valid voter registration card when boarding.
Ride sharing apps like Uber and Lyft both say they will offer free or discounted rides to polling places as well.
The electric scooter company, Lime, is also doing it’s part.
Voters can enter the code “LIME2VOTE18” to unlock a discounted ride to and from polling places up to 30 minutes.
Helping voters overcome a transportation barrier that may have kept them from making their voice heard.
