TMSG: The ‘Climate Change Club’

OKEMOS, Mich (WLNS) — Last year, a group of children in the Okemos-area formed their own Climate Change Club. Currently is has more than two dozen members.

It’s made up of children 12-years-old and younger, and they are committed to doing what they can to educate themselves and others on climate change and its impact on our world.

6 News anchor Chivon Kloepfer spoke to some of the members recently for this week’s “Tell Me Something Good” report and has more on the Climate Change Club’s past and future projects as it works to make the Earth a cleaner, healthier place for everyone.

The club members Chivon interviewed for this report are Fiona Whitmyer, Charlie Whitmyer, Max Whitmyer, Elizabeth Schafer, Emma Schafer, Sophie Schafer, Sofie Love, Eli Noble, Alicia Zhang, Hua Hua Tan, and Mahathi Mathiyazhagan. Jessica Whitmyer, a Kindergarten teacher at Horizon Elementary School, was also interviewed.
