In a press release today, Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka said Tracy Ott was sentenced to 20-40 years in the Department of Corrections.
The defendent plead no contest for assault with intent to rob while armed as well as carjacking, home invasion in the first degree, unlawful imprisonment, and larceny of a firearm.
On October 28th, 2017, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department received information regarding a home invasion.
Further investigation revealed the defendant had taken the victim’s gun, tied the victim up with electrical cords as well as phone cords, and then stole the victim’s vehicle.
“The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department did an excellent job investigating this case,” said Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka.
