YORK TOWNSHIP, MI (AP) – Two men have been charged with murder in the fatal stabbings of a 12-year-old boy and his half brother who were in southern Michigan to watch a car race.
The men are 25-year-old Joseph Hall of Dundee and 34-year-old Jesse Spurlock of Monroe. They appeared in a Washtenaw County court Friday, a day after their arrest. Court-appointed lawyers weren’t identified and couldn’t be reached for comment.
Timber Brown and half brother Jon Brown were killed at a house in York Township, south of Ann Arbor, on June 13. Three more people were stabbed, including Timber’s mother.
A family friend has said the Browns are from Indian River in northern Michigan and were hoping to see a race at Michigan International Speedway.
