The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims in Friday’s double homicide.

One was 26-year-old Kaylee Ann Brock from Holt. Meridian Township Police identified 32-year-old Julie Ann Mooney of Williamston as the second victim.

The suspect was arrested by Eaton County deputies around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning during a traffic stop near I-69. He showed the deputies pictures of the two deceased victims on his phone during his arrest.

Both women died of blunt force trauma, according to Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth.

The man was the subject of a domestic disturbance call in Eaton County at 2:40 a.m. that morning. Deputies were called to the 5300 block of Mall Drive West to find a woman calling out for help.

She said a man, against whom she had a protection order, was trying to get into her apartment. The woman claimed the man sent her a text message claiming he loved her and spared her but was “ridding demons of dear friends”.

Police and deputies are still investigating.
