UPDATE: Body found in burned out home may be Savannah Walker

UPDATE 10 a.m. —

Multiple Detroit news outlets are reporting two bodies found in the basement of a Detroit home may be connected to an AMBER alert issued Saturday morning for Savannah Walker.

Sources say the bodies of an adult female, as well as a child, were found after a fire in a home on the city’s east side. The adult female body is believed to be Savannah’s mother, 39-year-old Heidi Walker.

Savannah and Heidi Walker were last seen on Tuesday, February 16.

Authorities issued the AMBER Alert after family members reported the two missing Friday night.

Police believed that Savannah was with 33-year-old Marcus Hightower.

Sources say police are still looking for Hightower.

(WLNS) – Michigan State Police have issued an Amber Alert for 4-year-old Savannah Walker.

Walker is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen at 1583 Cadillac Blvd E. Jefferson Ave in Detroit.

She’s believed to be with 33-year-old Marcus Hightower.

He’s described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing at 5’9″ and weighing 250 lbs.

Hightower has a history of violent crimes.

Hightower drives a black Ford Explorer with a Michigan license plate number of DFJ5377.
