A Grand Ledge man has been sentenced to more than 31 years in prison for his role in coercing underage boys and girls to send him pornographic photos and videos.

According to court records, Kevin Konen, 52, of Grand Ledge was sentenced last week.

In addition to the prison time, he was also sentenced to 10 years of parole.

He had pleaded guilty last year to using social media sites to pretend he was a girl in high school and then befriended both girls and boys to manipulate and encourage them to take sexually explicit photos of themselves.

Konen also used the alias “Danny Ha” and offered to remove nude pictures from internet websites, which gave him access to passwords and other private information.

The initial investigation dates back to January of 2016.
