UPDATE 4:30 p.m. – The Office of the Clinton County Sheriff is confirming the identity of one of the teens killed in a rear-end crash this morning on US-127. 18-year-old Jonathan Tuthill of Lansing was, according to investigators, driving the pick-up truck when it hit the back of the semi-truck just after 8:00 a.m. today. The identity of the passenger in the pick-up truck has not released.

UPDATE 12:05 p.m. – Investigators from the Office of the Clinton County Sheriff have confirmed that two teens died in a crash this morning on US-127. The driver was an 18-year-old male and the passenger was a 16-year-old male. Both men were from Lansing. The names have not been released yet. The two were in a pickup truck that rear-ended a semi-truck just north of French Road on US-127.
Original story: ST. JOHNS, Mich (WLNS) – Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies are on the scene of a collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck.
Deputies tell 6 News that two people have died in the crash.
The collision has closed down northbound US-127 at French Road until further notice.
According to deputies the crash happened just after 8:00 a.m. and they are investigating to determine the cause.
