UPDATE: Woman arrested; victim recovering after shooting in Lansing

UPDATE: Lansing Police tell 6 News that a 17-year-old Lansing woman is in custody, accused of shooting a woman early Thursday morning on the city’s south side.

A police spokesman says the victim’s condition has been upgraded from “critical” to “stable” in a local hospital.

ORIGINAL STORY: Lansing Police are investigating a shooting overnight on the city’s south side.

One woman is in critical condition and the search is on for a suspect.

It happened in the 1500 block of Corbett Street around 12:20 this morning.

Police responded to the scene for an reported shooting.

Police arrived on scene to find a 31 year old woman in a house who had been shot once.

Paramedics took her to a local hospital where she remains in critical condition.

According to Lansing Police they’re looking for another woman in relation to the shooting.

They also believe, this is an isolated incident and the public was not in danger.
