Water For Flint kicks off at Art Van; water donations pouring in

DELTA TWP, Mich (WLNS) – The sun had still to rise when the first water donations began pouring in at the Art Van store on West Saginaw in Delta Township.

6 News is partnering with Art Van Furniture today for a one-day drive to collect bottled water for the people of Flint.

Until 6:00 p.m. today people can bring sealed, unopened bottled water to the parking lot at Art Van.

Your friends from 6 News will be easy to find; look for the semi-trailer that is being filled with water.

If you’d like to make a donation of water and meet your favorite 6 News person at the same time, here is a schedule of who will be at Art Van:

Justin Kree: 5am-8:30am

Mariah Harrison: 8:30am-10am

Jane Aldrich: 11:30am-2pm

David Young: 1-3pm

Alexandra Ilitch: 3-6:30pm

If you can’t make it down today to give a donation Art Van will be collecting bottled water at the West Saginaw store indefinitely.
